RESEARCH PURPOSE

For our project, we are interested in answering the following research questions: 

 

1) Is there a relationship between youth utilization of social media, specifically Twitter and climate change activism? 

​

2) How has today’s social media given rise to youth climate activism?

SOCIAL MEDIA ANALYSIS

We analyzed three major social media networks for our project: Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. We were interested in observing how youth activists used social media to amplify their voices and create a worldwide social movement.
